second half of LFTL was great though!!

 

I think The Canyon is great, and the second half of LFTL is one of the worst albums I've ever heard

Find a Way, Wake the Dead and With Me Tonight are all better than anything on The Canyon for me. I mostly love Lies though, 2007 was peak Used fandom for me lol.

 

fwiw Shallow Believer is, like, my favourite Used album maybe. I don't have a problem with that era, I just think they misfired massively making that tracklist. like they left off their single best song ("Dark Days") for fuckin "Smother Me"? c'mon

 

Shallow Believer is definitely better as a whole and they left off some fantastic songs.

 

Now I'm listening to Lies and Shallow Believer stuff. So much good shit.

 

"Pain" is so good too, that whole choral bridge going into the breakdown is insane

 

I always thought it was funny that Pain was a bonus track on a bsides album.

 

Wow I can’t believe they have that many records I don’t like. I vaguely remembering liking bits of liars but that that’s where they jumped the shark. They got me back for artwork a bit - but the other stuff I might have listened once or twice and never again. I’m bored - I’ll go back

hilarious that "Choke Me" made the regular tracklist of Shallow Believer and "Pain" didn't

(by hilarious I mean deeply deeply frustrating in a way this band is uniquely good at)

For me, I can see this new album land either in front of LFTL or between LFTL and Vulnerable. Really enjoying it.

 

So, I stopped listening to The Used when Artwork was released. For anything post Lies for the Liars/Shallow Believer, where to start?

 

I would have sworn I made a Used poll. Guess I'll do that next week.

 

I just want to like it all so much more lol

 

What are y'all hearing with Artwork? Cringe album cover with a few passable tracks and a bunch of jank ass filler IMO
