I honestly couldn’t get into Bravely Default either and it bummed me out

 

I finished Bravely Default, mostly enjoyed it. I just picked up Bravely Second the other day because I decided to finally give it a go, but I’m finishing FFVIIR first so I haven’t started yet.

 

I liked the way the combat system was structured but just found myself not having any fun with the story, characters, dungeons. Just about everything.

 

I got my ass kicked in the Bravely demo on Switch. I know they heightened the difficulty but still, I didn't have fun. Beautiful game tho

 

Braid and The Witness are two of the best games ever made but Jonathon Blow is a total dipshit so its cool if you dont buy them.

Bravely pretty much checks all the JRPG boxes (including JP/US censorship lmao), it even has that cool job system.

 

Can't play Bravely. Refuse to play a game with a bad name.

Around the release of the Witness, I really looked up to him so I made the mistake of following him on Twitter. He just has a lot of questionable views. The breaking point for me was when he came out in defence of the google memo guy (the one who wrote that long anti-diversity note). There are a bunch of other examples, but thats the one I remember the most.

I know someone who has met him a few times and/or knows people who have worked with him, etc. Says he's a total douche. He's come off that way in most of his interviews as well.

Yeah I know that guy usually knows his stuff but like it’s already mid-April so how “much earlier” than E3 week can we really get at this point.

Game Pass may be the only good reason to own an Xbox One but it has been my pandemic MVP. I'm playing Nier: Automata, Yakuza Zero, and Outer Worlds right now and I couldn't be happier.

 

See, I’d consider “much earlier” than the second weekend in June to be March/April. May isn’t early enough to be considered “much earlier” to me.

 

Just finished the Last of Us again. Heavy shit everytime, I can’t wait for part 2.

 

It's all relative obviously but to me first week of May would be about 6 weeks early which I'd consider "much earlier". Either way I'm looking forward to see what's going to be shown.
