Was surprised there wasn’t a thread already, but this felt like a super quiet rollout. Had no idea it was out today. Two listens in and I love this, immediately much better than For Posterity, which I already liked a lot

 

holy shit i had no idea they even announced an album last month!! although to be fair last month was kind of a mess with everything going on lockdown.

 

Excited to check the full thing

 

I enjoyed it all the way through but nothing really jumped out at me.

 

Had no idea this was dropping today either, gonna check it out shortly!

 

kinda wish the main guy sang all the songs.

 

That was an issue I had with the last record too. Second guy sounds better on this record than that one imo, but I still would always take the main vocalist over him

 

I thought the second vocalist only did backing vocals?

 

Nah he has leading parts occasionally too, I haven’t become familiar enough with song titles on this to point to an instance off the top of my head, but it’s there. For a past example, he sings the chorus of Bill Gates’ Ringtone on For Posterity

 

pretty sure he was the only vocalist on 2 or 3 songs on this one.

 

Liking this. The guitar work is neat and I enjoy the vocal melodies.

 

This is a really good album and a big step up from their last one, bit of a bummer how it seems to have been largely ignored/forgotten about (the awful album cover doesn’t help lol)

 

I really like that basically ripped microwaves much love aesthetic for this tbh. Funny as hell

 

Didn't even know this was released already! It's very very good!

 

Guess this wasn't released with Hopeless like the last record was..

 

Sorry for a no news bump, but damn, this record kinda still knocks

 

Randomly checked this out on a whim and it's pretty great

 

Pretty sure the singer is the guitar tech for The Wonder Years now.

 

legit haven't thought about this band in years. i don't even remember if i listened to this album fully

 

Yeah they rarely come to mind for me as well. Maybe not that long of a gap, but probably not more than like once a year. Which is weird because I own physical copies of both records, and I use my turntable pretty regularly. My eyes always kinda skip over when I’m browsing the shelf though. Sure did hit last night though
