If they are going to postpone/cancel the North American tour, they would do it like a month beforehand right? I can't see them doing anything this early.

I do not see why they would do it earlier than June or July. I haven’t really seen any fall tours take that step yet.

Source on the Germany shows. It says they’re all postponed to summer 2021 pending confirmation with all of the artists they had lined up

  4. Anyone cancel their tickets? I might have to cuz there will be no show in LA this fall and I don’t know if I’ll be able to go to a rescheduled date out there

I feel like with a bunch of people out of employment and the uncertainty of when shows will be allowed to happen again, it may be in their best interest to just cancel so people can get their money back and use it on likely more important things in their lives currently. Because I have no doubt a portion of people who bought tickets are now out of work and need that money or need to help out family members financially.

I do wonder about the inner workings of tours and tour insurance etc. what happens when an artist cancels a tour on their own accord. Feels like there is going to be a lot of grey area around this.
Though I agree with your sentiment that people need their money back right now because there are more important matters at hand.

  8. also even if the show goes on in October I don't think I'd feel comfortable going since my wife is autoimmune compromised

at this point I'd only feel comfortable if A) I got a positive antibody test and was immune or B) there was widespread testing on the way in to make sure no one has it. We have a long way to go from both of these things unfortunately.

I hope they just postpone. I don't care if they reschedule for like a random Tuesday at 8am three years from now. I am gonna be there!!

  13. I feel that - the only problem for me is that we bought tickets for the LA show cuz I am gonna be in LA during that time. dunno if we will be able to feasibly attend a rescheduled LA date.

So sad how this thread has become so virus oriented because of the tour stuff and tickets. Not saying it's bad. Folks probably need this discussion. Just sad though. I miss talking about the music! Or what about funny tweets from the members? I mean, even those have been few and far between, but didn't Frank have that one burn not too long ago? Now I'm forgetting the details... anyway...

Ha! Saw some other music video today with a dreadlocked guitarist in it and now I'm thinking of dreadlocked Frankie. :D

It's been a while since I've actually listened to MCR...any good spring or summertime songs? (Besides Summertime lol)

I mean...what else is there to talk about that hasn't been talked about aside from the virus? Also, we're talking about how the band should handle the tour in relation to the pandemic, so it's at least relevant.

It probably is time I start listening to Danger Days again. "come on let's get up and go!" I like the party vibe to that song.

Ok, so nobody commented on this last time, but today was a Pencey Prep day for me (speaking of Frank's side projects). Well, this was actually his band before MCR, if anyone didn't know. Some noteworthy songs below (first one is funny, second one is my favorite PP song, possibly my favorite song of all time!)

Yeah that for sure is a Coachella dig. So glad I snagged one right away because they sold out almost instantly.

now for the musing on just what their Coachella presence would have been. secret show in a small tent? last minute announcement and a main stage slot?

The leading theory is that they were going to be a headliner, then Rage offered to play, so Coachella asked MCR to be a sub-headliner below Rage, and MCR said they only would play as headliner, Coachella said no, the end.
