I've been both and there is a big fucking difference. I'm glad these people like to consistently cause women more and more pain by continuing this rhetoric.

 

Agreed. I posted the same awhile ago. I never thought she lied about it but these two instances are not equal.

You do realize you are equating a detailed sexual assault allegation with a snippet of a conversation about two people potentially running for President. Maybe don’t use the progress of supporting sexual assault victims to prop up your preferred candidate in bad faith.

 

I agree that it was a sexist comment but I think he was considering the current state of sexism toward a woman president especially with Republicans. I don't think he actually believes a woman isn't capable of being president, just at this current time in the Trump era if would be hard to actually win against him.

 

The same could be said for Biden tho so *shrug*

Apple and Google discuss their coronavirus tracing efforts – TechCrunch

Contact tracing has proven somewhat effective in some parts of the world, helping authorities understand hotspots of infections. But privacy groups and security experts are concerned that privacy would take a backseat over people’s individual rights in an effort to contain the spread of the virus. Apple and Google said the service is privacy-focused. The system doesn’t use location data, the user’s randomized identifiers change every 15 minutes to prevent tracking, and any data collected is processed on the device and doesn’t leave a user’s phone unless they choose to share it.

But security and privacy experts were quick to point out the possible flaws in the system. Former FTC chief technologist Ashkan Soltani warned of false positives but also false negatives. Moxie Marlinspike, founder of the Signal encrypted messaging app, also expressed concerns that the system could be abused.

TechCrunch joined a media call with Apple and Google representatives, allowing reporters to ask questions about their coronavirus tracing efforts.

This tech is fascinating to me, and potentially very helpful, and some of the privacy ideas behind it are unlike anything I've seen implemented before. Still wary of a lot of it and don't trust the government to not want more one day under the guise of "pandemic preparedness" -- especially after everything we saw happen after 9/11.

But the contact tracing/tech stuff here is cool to read about.

Also Warren as VP does absolutely nothing to excite me to vote for a Biden ticket. She has made it clear that she isn’t actually trying to move the party left. She is an opportunist plain and simple.

Maybe she’ll prove me wrong, but I’d rather her stay in Congress and just have a prominent cabinet position that highlights her strengths. I honestly don’t know who as VP would get me to vote for a Biden ticket though. Maybe Bernie, but that is a pipe dream.
