I don’t disagree with that, but I just think that was her thought process.

For me, I would have felt “betrayed“ if she endorsed Biden before Bernie dropped out. But I don’t feel “betrayed” that she stayed neutral. Disappointing? Absolutely, but I can understand her thought process

Here’s an interesting question. What did you think would have happened if all the primaries were held on the same day?

One argument could be that Biden would never have gotten the momentum he did from South Carolina and therefore wouldn't have rounded up all the endorsements the day before Super Tuesday so it would be much better for Bernie and he could have ran away with it.

but another argument is that if the primaries were only one day, most candidates would have dropped out before then realizing there didn’t have a shot anyway and very well could have thrown their support to Biden and we’d be back to the two way race with Biden in the lead.

I had a friend who started watching tucker after her mom passed because her mom watched him, even though she was a dem she felt like she had to become a republican... I know, it doesn’t make any sense. She’s also a POC and has a pre-existing condition. I had to block her because when we had discussions about how terrible Fox is she would just ignore it, and then she started voting gop and making posts about how cute tucker is... it was gross. My friend told me she stopped watching and posting about it since last year but I still don’t think I could be her friend again, too much cringe.

Look man. I don’t see why you’d waste finger energy typing this unless your ultimate goal was to get trump re-elected man. Please don’t give the right more fuel to defeat dems man.

If calling out men in power who take advantage of women is the same as re-electing Trump, then seriously, fuck everything.

I shared some tweets from filmmaker & activist Lexi Alexander the other day (was that yesterday? who even knows anymore?), which gave good perspective on this. It's fine to vote for Biden, I'll probably do it 'cause I'm in PA & wanna do risk mitigation, but that HAS to go hand-in-hand w/ acknowledging Biden's offenses & calling out the power structures that enable those abuses.

EDIT: If you're joking, sorry; I'm just mad & can't keep up, lol.

Long time thread lurker wondering where all the apologies are for calling Elizabeth Warren a liar now that you're all back on the believe women train. How selective some of you are with who you believe and only if it's against people you don't like is very telling.

There’s a whole lot of history about why women accusing a man of sexual assault are very very unlikely to lie about it. I don’t necessarily disbelieve Warren but I don’t like that she didn’t elaborate and kind of left the implication that Bernie flat out doesn’t think a woman can be president. Anyway these two things are not the same and implying they are is really gross.

I am definitely sarcastically mirroring a take that I read in this thread back when there was a conversation about whether or not it was better to acknowledge or ignore Biden’s mental health a day (two days? 18 days?) ago
