  5. Not strictly post-rock here from Russians Antethic but this is like 65daysofstatic, Tycho and Fuck Buttons in a lift and I'm very into it. Album out end of May.

It is only their second album and first in 7 years, but they've had a handful of singles and other small releases over that time.

There is a lot of post rock in there.

Also, let’s be real: these lists will NEVER please everyone.

The Vasudeva is hitting me in all the right feels. Glad they stepped away from being so mathy.

I think that element of their sound is very much still present on Generator. These are just some of their best songs to date.

I don’t hear math much at all...

I just love how they are so much more expansive and ambient now.

Okay, I mean, that's fine too. Not telling you you're wrong for having the opinion you have. All I'm saying is that, sonically and songwriting-wise, I think Generator is not very different from No Clearance or Life In Cycles. Feel free to disagree.

Yeah I don’t really hear much math either tbh

I hear it more tonally. They aren't playing with odd time signatures or song structures, but the sounds, to me, are not far from typical math rock. I always felt that way about their prior two albums as well. Those albums weren't super weird as far as time signatures and structures go either. I think they've just had a math rock influence, sonically, on their dance-infused take on post rock. That's where I'm coming from.
