Gotta say, at the start of the year I really didn't expect people to have to have their show of the year picked out in April.

I said this before, but bands can still try to continue to tour all they want, but the venues/promoters/etc. WILL stop them. So unless of this whole thing gets magically under control by the summer, then I doubt this tour happens

 

Yeah, they’re gonna need to postpone it or might even cancel it.
They have a 40 year anniversary deal already lined up next year.

 

Yeah, arena/stadium tours will certainly be the last to start up again.

I don’t think it’s been officially rescheduled, but I’m getting notifications on Songkick that the Inkcarceration festival in Ohio is getting moved to September.

 

Caribana in Toronto just got cancelled, and that was slated to run from July 30th to August 2nd, in case you wanted an idea of how far things are from looking good

 

A lot of that too has to do with other tours getting cancelled and bands pulling out of festivals. If half the bands drop because they no longer have a full tour that coincides without the fest is left scrambling.

 

I honestly don't think any of us can predict how far out things are going to be based on festival cancellations so many months away. And music festival cancellations or postponements really aren't a good indicator...

Some acts re-scheduled for mid to late summer, some re-scheduled for fall, while others outright cancelled. Some artists probably had touring commitments for the fall already lined up which made re-scheduling difficult. Some venues aren't available anymore. Etc.

There's a lot of factors at play.

 

Makes sense, I assume Four Chord in Pittsburgh will also postpone and Common Ground in MI

 

Which dates in September? I have a few friends traveling for this one.

 

Tegan and Sarah are postponing tour ct date was in August

 

Nothing about the LA SOAD shows next month being postponed yet. Somewhat concerning

Ouch. Riot Fest weekend. They are in Chicago and plan to go to that too.

 

Actually not dumb but I'm bummed I wanted to see this shitshow but I'll definitely be at Riot if either happens!

 

I think we’re gonna see a lot of bands tour in December, January, February when they don’t usually do. Would be a good time to makeup some of this.

 

Car Seat Headrest May/June/July tour cancelled

 

Ticketmaster says the St Pete of the New Found Glory/Simple Plan on May 29th is postponed but nothing from bands have said anything

 

The Anaheim date is still scheduled according to ticketmaster. I think the bands are waiting to see if the rest of the dates are going to be allowed to happen before make an official announcement

 

I mean, on the plus side? This would put the "Limp Bizkit might play because they are a 'nostalgic band that released music in the 90s'" debate to bed very early this year.

 

Pritzker just said “everyone needs to think seriously” about cancelling large summer events, so I don’t think you’re gonna see P4K, Lola, or Riot Fest.

 

Riot is late in the game so...maybe, but I think there is worry this will pop back up in the fall which would mean Riot would have to cancel (since it is so late, postponing isn't really an option)

 

I have a small hope for Riot even if it's slightly unrealistic but definitely don't think P4k or Lolla will happen
