Agreed, but On The Run is a favorite of mine. I honestly love this whole album a lot. I know it's more straightforward, but it might be my favorite front to back. I think that Mothership has the best individual songs though.

Yeah Jon goes buck wild on this album, also I think he's a lot easier to understand, which helps me to enjoy it more.

I know Night was the lead single from this album, but like most of their lead singles (with the exception of Alex English) they never really click well for me and then I wind up liking the rest of the album usually.

Really? Idk why I thought it was night. Did they release a video for OTR? Might’ve been that I saw/heard the Night music video first.

 

Yeah, I'm not sure, but they def might've released one as a "premiere" and one as a "single" that seems to be a thing that used to happen a lot more, the second single was the one that was pushed to radio/music video/whatever.

 

I think there was only a lyric video for On the Run when it was released, but I agree it was the first song they put out from this album.

They played Something New live during their late 2014 tour as well.

The Cuddler - This was easy, this song is mad catchy, Jon is a mf beast here. Lost & Variation are the only songs on the album I dislike, Tilian's melodies are too drippy and Jon is boring in those ones.

On The Run - I actually love EvC, but this one is INSANE. Tilian is great here, the weird effects on Will's guitars, and this one is so catchy. The bridge seals the deal, especially when Jon starts going "duh-duh-duh-DUH-duh-DUH-duh, duh-duh-duh-duh-duh" I just go wild.

We Own The Night - both of these songs slap, but this one is a bit stronger. I'm a bit tired of it's overplay, but when it hits, it HITS.

Awkward - Holy shit, these are two of my favorite ever DGD songs, this was no fair. That being said, the riff's rhythm, and the production on the vocals, and the musical complexity gives this song the slight edge.
