Another day, another bunch of bands/artists I’ve never heard of doing or saying stupid/horrible shit.

Thanks to this site, I feel as if I’m pretty well versed and have knowledge of most music I don’t tend to listen to. But then I come in here and it’s a whole bunch of people I’ve never heard of. It’s so odd. But then I look them up and see “such and such are a christian rock/metal act” and it all falls into place. Not because all christian rock bands are full of arseholes (although I’m sure plenty are), but I feel as if that specific genre is definitely more popular that side of the pond. In the UK, christian music in general is normally laughed at or ridiculed but taken more seriously in the states. Anyone else see that?

    Young Thug is canceled sorry

  3. Why does ANYONE still work with that piece of shit? I know Chris Brown being a misogynistic woman-beating creep is old news but come the fuck on.

Yeah. Something to do with a basketball players daughter coming out as Trans, and he responded to it.

Anyone that still works with Chris Brown is pretty much automatically dead to me, the transphobic stuff is just even more reason.

he also has had some pretty anti-semitic lyrics in the past, but if i cut out every rapper due to that i would only be able to listen to beastie boys and like shad or some shit

It's so easy for people to just not collaborate with Chris Brown, but he brings in those Spotify numbers, so they can't resist (and they probably also say he served his sentence/"It was a decade ago"/etc.) Thugger in particular seems like a shitty person.

So people are saying in the comments ^ that we should be criticizing Ariana too because she also participated in black fishing. I see it a little bit but...doesn’t really seem the same.

That and I just noticed the "Politics + Anxiety" part feeling like an unintentional pun on her last album's name. I don't know if she's still petty over its reception, but that ain't it.

  15. It is to me, but it was never really acknowledged by Ariana herself. Too many people brushed it off as soon as her collaborators/friends Tayla Parx and Victoria Monet, two WOC, came to her defense so :/

You can add Qveen Herby aka Karmin on the list too

Lol the fact that she “did it” at all is bad. It’s wild that shes gotten the pass she has for so long

Someone else remembers Flee the Scene? lol, nice. Remember really digging ‘em back in the day & being bummed when they just kinda faded away.

Yeah, nah. My queen Britney would never, for one example. Imagine using fame as an excuse for casual racism
