I know this question is asked every four years but could this be the worst each party has nominated since bush v Dukakis?

I feel like Trump's idiocy is crowding out other important news. I almost feel like he has a double function of expanding the far-right base and preventing anything of consequence from being spoken about. Like, he is a sheep dog for complacency.

 

I swear he's intentionally botching any chance he had.

Another thing I've been thinking: with all the talk so far of just Trump's pure nonsense, we've gotten zero actual policy questions or anything worth really talking about answered too.
