When did he announce an Angels & Airwaves album? Whenever that comes out I’ll pretend to consider that he might put out Box Car Racer music

 

I feel like any BCR album that would come out in 2020 would basically be an AVA album minus the long spacy intros.

 

He actually posted about "expecting something soon from AvA" like two days ago.......

.......and last December. And last June. And last February.

 

I feel like the last time he really had a shot at getting Box Car Racer back up and running is when he left blink again in 2015. There was a lot of hype, even Travis was posting about it. But now just feels like he's back in AVA mode and will likely jump back into blink when he's done.

 

Yeah, I’m in camp “Boxcar Racer would be bad.” In all honesty, he probably gets back with blink and records a new album before BCR ever comes back and sounds decent.

 

I feel like whether he calls it AVA or BCR it’s going to be the exact same 5 song E.P. bundled with his next book.

 

The only thing that would be exactly the same as the first BCR record would be whatever terrible token punk song should be on it, some Circle Jerk Pit-esque crap lol

 

I've said it before but if the BCR album was a Blink album it would be my third favorite by them

 

Rick Devoe was on “That One Time On Tour” podcast a few weeks ago (3/18) talking about early blink and a tiny bit on the break up. Definitely worth a listen if you want to hear some stories about pre-Travis blink. Nothing earth shattering. He did mention that he was against Tom doing BCR as he could tell the focus of the guys in the band was drifting once they started doing all of their side projects (Atticus, Transplants, BCR etc). As far as the break up he said that Tom just wanted to do more/something different while Mark just wanted to be Mark from blink.

 

Nine Deluxe is supposedly at "an advanced stage" and is definitely coming. The collabs EP seems to not be set in stone. (Which I'm 100% fine with.)

 

Mark also mentioned that their tour with The Used "WAS being worked on." The way he said it made me think the tour is off for now.

 

I don't care too much about that EP, especially as time has passed but I hope they release the Pharrell and Vert songs at least

 

I was excited for Blink music when Nine came out but now I don't really care about that EP.

Yeah, that EP doesn't sound like something I'd be real interested in. Especially after hearing their Lil Wayne and Aoki collabs... Just give me some demos, acoustic versions, and b-sides for Nine, and I'll be happy.

 

I'm less interested in collaborations too, and would love to hear more Blink Nine "deluxe" tracks. I think if the collarbs were with artists I was familiar with or if any of the other ones were great my feelings would be different.

That Steve Aoki song would would be great as a Blink only song without the dance beats thing in my mind.

 

NINE deluxe tracks would be amazing. I didn’t know that it was an actual thing. Similar to Cali & Cali DLX. Hoping we get some cool vinyl.

Also maybe a tour that plays more than 4 songs off of NINE.

Mark was just live on Twitch again. Pretty fun just leaving it on in the background for a couple of hours.

I don’t think he really said much of interest this time, but he did end the steam with a quick acoustic performance of “Wasting Time” so that was fun.

I think you were just pointing out that Mark played the song titled “Online Songs”, but at first I thought you were just saying that he played a bunch of songs while online.... He should make use of that.
