First half was a slog. Second half was fun.

 

Success. A perfectly charming little movie! It was kinda just Frozen for boys. A stealth movie about the power of siblings wrapped in a loose fantasy world

 

I liked this. It’s no Inside Out or Incredibles, but was a smart concept.

I’ve uh, never met my dad and this hit me harder than I wanted it to...

 

There were some cool little Easter eggs in this

 

My kids have watched this 7x since yesterday morning.

Welp. This fucked me up pretty good.

 

Easily the worst Pixar movie outside the cars sequels. Overall the movie was fine but nowhere near Pixar quality. Not terrible but I expect more

Edit; I'll add monsters u to lower. I'll need to rewatch brave again but if you're in the brave tier of Pixar, then you're not looking good

Monsters U is tight, need to rewatch Brave. This was ok, kinda really underwhelmed me.

 

What’s this Monsters U slander? I laugh a lot at the jokes in that movie which is saying something

 

I’m doing a Pixar rewatch and that movie has so many jokes and sight gags that just HIT

 

As a movie this was okay but having limited memories of my dad who died in the same fashion as the movie’s dead dad and a much older brother that had to step up this fucked me up thoroughly lol

I rewatched brave yesterday ...its much better than I remembered. In fact everything up until mom turns into a bear was actually quality A+ pixar. The first 40 minutes is excellent and has the bits and pieces of being an awesome epic...

Unfortunately for me once mom turns into a bear it dips. Becomes too silly and average. But overall it's not that bad. Still lower tier because the rest of the library is strong but not as bad as I remembered.

 

I still maintain the only truly bad Pixar movie is Cars 2.

 

I could live without monsters u, cars 2, toy story 4.
