It's so funny watching Dave Caldwell double down even harder. Like, "I'm telling you Shad we can find cheaper. These players aren't worth THAT much." As we continue to lose potential talent lol.

 

Tebow was very bad but very fun to watch and I loved his one successful season. But he was the opposite of blackballed. He got more chances because he was Tebow.

 

Fun. Probably a downgrade from Desir, but I’d be cool with a bounce back season from him

It’s the opposite! OT used to be sudden death with not only a touchdown, but ALSO a field goal. They actually changed the rules to give the other team a chance if only a field goal is scored.

 

And yeah people getting upset over this is stupid. You wanna have a chance in overtime? Then you better upgrade your defense lol. Barring an absurd false penalty, It’s no one’s fault but your own team if you can’t hold the opponent to a FG when it matters.

The ravens did the same thing with Ryan Grant, shook on a deal and were going to sign him even though the team knew he was going to have some slight issue on his physical. After the team read lots of comments about how bad that deal was days after agreeing, they reneged on it and all the teams had already made several signings so he had to do a 1yr with the colts in Lucks last season. Obviously with the covid stuff, it’s different but it’s still a bad look when the teams pr constantly says he’s completely fine and they’re definitely still going to sign him for a week yet they back out of the deal a day or two after that reassurance.


Just hope brockers is okay and this wasn’t because his conditioned worsened at all.

 

The Ryan grant deal was shit and so I get how they used the meds to their advantage, but we *wanted* Brockers, it was a solid deal. I don’t think they backed out because of backlash or anything, which makes me think there must have been something legitimate. We need good DL, and now we need to scramble for someone else.

 

I didn’t mean they backed out because of backlash. It’s almost certain they knew Crabtree was going to be available and for less, it seems like those two things definitely happened back to back. I just think it’s really shoddy to do that to players, especially after pr constantly saying they’re gonna be fine. Wouldn’t surprise me if they found out some DL they like is getting waived and they go after him instead in a similar situation.
