I was fucked from the moment Whimsicott went down. Then I had 2 other options and both options went down, 1 from a bad switch and 1 from that paralysis

 

My team vs @Jake W

The plan was to absorb the gigantimax turns with Jellicent, defog and kill Obstagoon with Whimsicott, and sweep with Dracozolt/Grimmsnarl/Hatterene. I brought Gothitelle as an alternative too, knowing it could wall both Copperajah and Dugtrio, but knew that I HAD to get Obstagoon off the field to accomplish that.

Unfortunately Whimsicott went down early, which I shouldn't have allowed to happen, and I called Obstagoon's Obstruct incorrectly switching to Hatterene to try and set up Trick Room. After that, all I had left was the option of Grimmsnarl, who doesn't exactly get along with Galvantula as it is but when that paralysis happened I knew it had to be over. Setting up Fairy terrain would've been useful a turn earlier but ended up costing me the match in more ways than one, both not preventing my paralysis AND causing me to not be able to use my dragon moves with Dracozolt to clear out Obstagoon. That's all moot though as Barbaracle could've swept afterwards anyway - without Gothitelle set up, she would've died to Barbaracle easily.

The win streak had to end eventually. Congrats to @Jake W for advancing, he's helped me learn a lot throughout this league and has become more and more of a friend through the process. I had a ton of fun playing with y'all and can't wait for next season!

 

And just for fun here's a gimmick team I was planning on running until the last minute

It ended up being WAY too risky of a play, and my general strategy that I ran had a much higher chance of success. I just didn't execute like I needed to.

It's only real use was knocking off Corsola's Eviolite (Or Goodra's Assault Vest if he brought Oldjersey) in the end and while he COULD do damage to other Pokemon, Jake's biggest threat to my team was Obstagoon (which is kinda hilarious given how Fairy heavy my team is - Obstagoon just matches up with almost all of them) and I wanted to have more things that could handle it. I obviously failed at that though

Yes it definitely is hahaha

Yeah I'm down! I may be kinda out of it haha just general exhaustion and stuff but I'm always down for some pokemon

 

I was mainly imagining doing it just for fun. A good opportunity to have one last battle with our teams.

Hell yeah! I think it'd be a good way to do a send-off, just mess with the builds and make em really really fun
