There may be more than 16 matches at WrestleMania 36 now that it’s being done over two nights, per the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Did they re-add some of the matches they took off a week ago?

12 matches a night is still a lotttt but at least I won’t feel guilty missing any because they won’t be live

 

Im just trying to imagine every possible match they've even loosely set up. This is the official or heavily rumored stuff so far:

1. Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Drew McIntyre Singles
   
2. Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Charlotte Flair
3. Becky Lynch (c) vs. Shayna Baszler
4. Goldberg (c) vs. Roman Reigns
   
5. John Cena vs. "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt
6. The Undertaker vs. AJ Styles
7. Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins
8. Bayley (c) vs. Lacey Evans vs. Dana Brooke vs. Tamina vs. Naomi vs. Sasha Banks
9. SD Tag match
10. Edge v Randy Orton
11. Sami v DBry
12. Womens Tag Title
13. US Title Lucha thingy

So, thats 13 matches. Throw in a Raw Tag title match, a Riott Squad triple threat, something with Dolph/Mandy v Otis/Sonya?That gets you to 16, to get beyond that you'd be talking Corbin/Elias, etc.

 

Dave and Garrett were talking about how none of these matches have any real build. It could end up being a blessing where these matches could be more of set ups for a bigger Summer Slam than they were planning. I think that makes a hell of a lot more sense than this piecemeal garbage.

 

Sounds like Drew vs. Brock will main event night 2. Fightful is reporting that night one is up in the air between Goldberg/Roman and Becky/Shayna

 

What was their fucking plan if Rona didn't happen and this was all one day plus they kept the battle royales? Have like a 20 match single day card?!?!?

I had seen 16, 18 is insanity...but it'd likely mean something like Corbin/Elias, anything with the Riott squad, and possibly even Dolph/Otis being held off for the SD and RAW around WM. Even the RAW tag titles might have been a RAW match over WM.

Instead they'll just roll them all into two nights of WM and probably just replay matches on the RAW + SD around it

 

If this was still being held one day, they'd have the two battle royales as well. So unless stuff was added to the card after they realized they were doing two taped days...

 

Elias/Corbin is definitely one that got added that wouldnt have been on the main card. Im also thinking the RAW tag title was added the same way, as there were no rumors that Andrade/Garza were gonna be a tag team

 

Someone on Reddit (this was a few hours ago) is claiming that Roman, Goldberg and KO aren't on Mania.

Roman is now confirmed to be out.

I mean it makes sense with Roman, i'm sure he's worried about his immune system and all right now.

 

Damn shame that KO isnt there, with all he put into that Seth program...but, he seems to take the absolute minimum risks when it comes to his family.

Goldberg v KO rematch actually would have been fun. Hell, give me a Goldberg/Seth/KO match where they take out Goldberg early

makes me think they knew roman not performing was a possibility because they were absolutely setting up braun to kill sami and then suddenly shifted

 

The Miz opted to not work, which puts the New Day likely not on the show as well as the Usos

 

Shoulda postponed the damn show lol

 

Some dude on Reddit, who also reported on Roman being out, is also saying Edge, KO, and the Usos also dropped off the show.
