Minshew did put up efficient numbers with our offense exactly how it is though. That part isn’t debatable haha

 

The #10 defensive end is a way worse prospect than the #10 WR though.

It’s about scarcity too.

Like I got Cole Kmet and Tyler Johnson lol; finding weapons later for Minshew was really easy. I love both those players. Meanwhile edge rushers I like kept going earlier than I planned.

 

Sure and they probably will, but I don't have faith in Howie answering that position in the draft

If I was taking BPA it would’ve been Andrew Thomas but our severe needs on defense tilted me to go down one or two spots on my draft board in order to ensure the Jags a legitimate solution to their issues.

 

Okay i gotta go do work so i'm gonna stop arguing this for a minute but just because he didn't once doesn't mean you can just expect it to always be that way. That's just silly.

We can only make decisions based on the information available. Right now our defensive needs look like a much bigger deal. Just because Minshew could regress doesn’t change the fact that offense is not the weak spot of this team right now.

Eagles should go CB round 1 WR round 2 IMO

Trade down is my most preferred option. If they don't trade down and take a CB in the first though, I'm very okay with that. There should be a quality WR in the second for us to take there.

 

See, this is something I don't see them doing and I would rather them not do anyway. Howie has stressed the importance of having ten draft picks this year and wants to add an influx of youth to the team. Now, he's already traded two picks to get Darius Slay. I don't see him trading anymore to move up for a WR when there's depth at the position in this draft. They would probably have to trade up into the top 15 to get one of those three wide receivers. There are a lot of needy-WR teams in that range though so it's still not a given.

 

Yeah I just feel like there's SO much WR talent and not much CB talent so that'd end up working the best, who knows though

I feel like the high amount of WR talent in this draft is reducing the draft stock of Lamb and Jeudy haha. There’s just no urgency this year. Some GMs have suggested this is the best draft class for WR in quite awhile.

 

Granted, 2014 looked like a really good WR class at the time, but in retrospect a lot of those dudes didn’t pan out.

Most of us on AP thought Jordan Matthews, Allen Robinson, etc were gonna be good enough to get contract extensions lol. Kelvin Benjamin sucks. Sammy Watkins was a borderline bust too especially if you consider he was TRADED UP FOR above Mike Evans and OBJ.

I mean shit even Landry and OBJ lived up to their billing and yet neither team re-signed them.

 

To an extent but also Lamb is fucking amazing and I do think there is a big gap between the top 2-3 guys and the rest

There's lots of WRs but not lots of WRs that are as well rounded as Lamb and Jeudy or as explosive as those 2 + Ruggs
