Don't know what to tell you, man. I will say it served me pretty well for my run a couple weeks ago, but other than that it's just not an album I'm interested in listening to when I have access to everything.

Is it weird of me to think Gerard was really channeling some Thom Yorke-esque vocals on the interlude there?

Also, that intro to Thank You For The Venom had me thinking I was listening to a metal band all of a sudden haha

I tried to remember what Thank You for the Venom sounded like, and instead Green Day's Stuart and the Ave. popped into my head. I don't think that's quite it.

I can hear it. Apparently the final album they were working on had some Radiohead vibes.

    My favourite from Danger Days.

I always remember thank you for the venom cause I used to turn up the interlude since it was quieter and then venom would give me a heart attack

But for real, TBP and Danger Days both have better production, better vocals, and a more unified, cohesive vision than the first two albums do. I don't really know if the first two are supposed to be concept records as well, but they feel much more like collections of songs than true albums.

I'd rather listen to MCS' first two albums.

    Well, okay, not quite.

I think it's still my favorite as well. Actually, it definitely is. There aren't a lot of songs on there that contend for "favorite" even though it's fantastic front to back.

Idk, I'm loving Three Cheers so far. This album has such a completely different energy than The Black Parade does.

I disagree. The vocals on Revenge are his best imo and I'd take the vocals on Bullets over Danger Days too. I think TBP is their most complete vision but the songs on Bullets and Revenge are just better. I think Danger Days is probably their least cohesive honestly but it fits the idea of the album. It's still easily my least favourite direction sonically and lyrically.

I was on the street team when 3 cheers came out. I plastered stickers all over my highschool, listened to kids go 'what the fuck is my chemical romance?' for a few days. It was great. Especially when they found out what the fuck my chemical romance was when they blew up a month later.

Yep. Going for completely different things and both wildly successful at them. Plus I think the last four songs are the best on there.

Eh, well I guess I like the more polished, less raw vocals more, haha. For Danger Days, I just appreciate that they have some weird ass story tying it all together even if I don't understand it at all, and the songs really do flow together nicely to my ears.

I actually think Revenge has his most polished vocals, definitely more so than a lot of Danger Days at least. Also there's no real story to Danger Days, just an idea, it's supposed to be like a radio broadcast from 2019 set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. So there's a concept but there's no story running through the songs. There is kind of one in Revenge but they sort of abandoned it halfway through, you can still pick up a lot of the story though I think.

I fucking love the background vocals during the second verse of that song just before the chorus. The "are you there at all/do you care at all" bit. mmmmm

Huh, I dunno what it is then but I definitely prefer his vocals on Danger Days. I've never really tried to pick out the storyline from Three Cheers, maybe I'll look into that next.

I love the guitar during the verses to that song too.

Revenge is the best, TBP is great, and Danger Days is by far the weakest out of the major label stuff but its still good.
