Yes, but avoid spoilers because they will ruin the impact.

It has something to do with him being injured with I think a poisonous plant a few seasons back? I Think?

He got an infection when he and Negan had to cover themselves in guts to get back in the Sanctuary after Rick's group led a herd to the gates. He eventually lost sight in that eye.

Ok so I’m on season 9 now. After the time jump. So at this point in the world after the zombie outbreak, would there be overweight/obese people in the world? They seem to eat minimally, live an active/physical lifestyle. Not so much processed foods. Hell you rarely see them eat meat. I know there’s more factors that go into a persons weight but I feel like people would generally be in shape to an extent.

Sounds like a bottle episode tonight, but might have huge implications going forward.

I think I’ve checked out mentally, but that Michonne episode did nothing for me.

No questions about Alpha and what happened?

I don’t think any mother chases after Rick’s ghost when they have 2 surviving kids being minded by others.

What a throwback in the intro there. Wondering if we're gonna see more of that later because that is clearly not how that scene played out in the show lol

This was a good episode I thought. Hit all the emotional beats right. I hated Virgil and also felt terrible for him.

Oh wow, they’re saying this was her last episode. I thought we’d check in with her one last time.

Yeah that’s a wrap on Michonne until the Rick Grimes trilogy

Is that confirmed? If so I imagine it can't be until the end of the trilogy because there's 6 years in there where she obviously can't be in it. Unless they have a separate timeline in the movie of her trying to find him.

Angela Kang mentioned in an EW interview about last night's episode that the people Michonne encounters & massive group she sees in the final scene are not part of the CRM group that uses the helicopters, so the plot thickens, and since the first Rick Grimes film will presumably take place immediately following "What Comes After", it'll probably be a long time before we learn what happens next with Michonne's story.

It’s confirmed Michonne will be in the Rick films. We just don’t know if she’ll be in 1, 2 or all 3.

This is still so fucking boring (last nights). I should give a shit because she has always been one of the best characters but they relegated her to an afterthought cause of her impending departure so I’ve lost connection. Too bad really.

I think the writers did a good job considering Danai Gurira chose to leave & that at this point, it’s more useful for her departure to be open-ended & help set up a bigger picture rather than kill off her character.

I’m not denying the conversation w/ Judith was a bit of cheap reasoning for why Michonne felt it was fine to not return to Virginia, but it made sense, and I much prefer the overall handling of her disappearance to that of Maggie’s (suddenly not there w/ the absence explained entirely by other characters’ offhand comments.)

Looking forward to seeing when & how they’ll bring Michonne back, and what her actual ending in the Walking Dead TV/ film universe will be.

The weird trip and Saviour version of Michonne was so unnecessary.

Yeah, a fair amount of what I’ve read regarding the Saviour Michonne thing mentioned it showed that from a certain POV, Rick’s group were the villains, which seems kinda redundant bc even in “Not Tomorrow Yet” it was super apparent that killing people in their sleep was fucked up, and everyone taking part knew & felt that.

So the next big event in the comics is Andrea's death and end of the Whisperer War, right? Anybody else think Carol will be getting Andrea's fate? Carol in the comics died around the same time as Andrea did in the TV show so it would be fitting. Also Daryl is pretty much the main guy now and has always been very close to Carol (not as close as Andrea and Rick were in the comics but still). Carol also has interactions and stories with a bunch of different people recently. I don't know, I just have a feeling.

I could definitely see Carol's time coming to an end. I feel like with Alpha dead now she's gotten her revenge. Maybe a final bit to close off the character. Not sure what else they could do with her.
