Loved Man of Steel and Batman V Superman. My opinion doesn't sync up with the critics when it comes to DC movies, lol.

Seriously though, how can Thor have 77% and Thor: The Dark World have 66% on rotten tomatoes, when Man of Steel has 55% and BvS has 27%? That's crazy to me and a good reason to not take reviews very seriously.

Thor is far more deserving of that 27% score.

Yeah I don't take reviews seriously at all. Vast majority of the time if it has an awful RT score or bad reviews and vice versa

The general audience wants light, comedy films. The critics need to exaggerate because just saying anything is just "good" or "ok" doesn't get you the clicks it will if it's "The best ever" or "the worst ever". This film will be fine like MOS and BvS. Not free from issues, but fine. I hate the week of release for these films because every site goes crazy about posting non stop about reviews.

Assuming critic motivations provides about the same value as a RT score. If there are critics you like and find insightful, read them. Otherwise there isn't a whole lot of reason to get hung up on whatever they might be saying. But maybe the movie really is bad, which is why so many of them are saying it. Maybe not! Either way, whatever.

That's what I'm saying too. Find a couple of critics who your tastes align with and trust what they recommend. Getting bent out of shape from an aggregator is counterproductive, especially when you start comparing Movie A to Movie B.

Kevin Smith and Batman-On-Film seemed to like it if that means anything.

I just want Deadshot, Katanna, and Amanda Waller to be cool. And for the Batman cameos/flashbacks to be cool, so I can revisit the character without revisiting BvS.

This certainly can't be worse than BvS or X-Men: Apocalypse.

    Be my alibi?

I wonder if all the re-shoots they did to make it more "humorous" helped or hurt it.

Once again we must wait for a DVD. Blah.

At least Batman Lego movie looks amazing and most likely will be....

As a fan of BvS I never expected it to be better to me... Better received, yes. Agreed it has to be better than Apocalypse though

I like you a lot, but between you liking BvS and you liking high school Peter Parker, I don't know what to do with you. lol.

I'm still waiting for Geoff Johns to save DC films, I'm guessing starting with Wonder Woman.

The Thor movies have decent scores because they actually have coherent storytelling. Marvel movies play it safe, but they're generally sturdily constructed. DC movies seem to be shooting for something more ambitious and severely missing the mark.

I wouldn't say defend it, but I enjoy it a lot! There's plenty other bad comic opinions that I have but we still cool.

Well, at least your DC is finally mostly on the right track with this Rebirth stuff! Marvel is still better, though. Teehee. But really.

I watched the R-rated BvS over the weekend, which absolutely improved the movie and made so much more sense. It actually got me more interested in Suicide Squad. I think I'll enjoy it.
