Things are really calm at night around my area. I’ve only gone twice since the shit really got serious and I’ve only gone at night. I though it would’ve been thoroughly picked clean, but they actually do some restocking at my local Publix around 8-9 PM so it doesn’t look like a complete empty hellscape

 

my main grocery store for the most part has been pretty tame. what they have in stock literally depends on the day, Tuesday my grocery store had no meat whatsoever within its 4 walls, yesterday it was like 60% stocked with meat and other stuff, so timing is probably everything, but i've only had like one severely annoying trip and it was last week and the hysteria really broke nationwide. i also have no seen a limit on number of people allowed in.

I really recommend the meal delivery service called Hello Fresh for meals right now if u can afford it



We had our first meal yesterday and it was pretty good and cheaper than what I thought it would be. We still will have to go get basic stuff like bread etc sometimes but at least we won't have to stress about what to make for dinner and if the store will have enough supplies. Also it limits the time you'll be in the store with others if you already have din being sent to ya every week.

We do Hello Fresh sporadically and can confirm that the recipes are typically very good. Way better than Blue Apron also, which I've tried and was not really impressed by.

There have been a bunch of Hello Fresh recipes that I've had and been kind of blown away by tbh lol. When I get home later, I can take pictures of the recipe cards and throw them up here for anyone interested in seeing some of the better ones I've gotten.

 

I've never done those things because you can't pick your recipes which I think you should be able to be like I'm a picky eater lol

 

They do give you a bunch of recipe options to pick from for each box, although yeah you can't customize the ingredients for each individual recipe.

 

same, i'm always either removing entire parts of the meal or subbing in my own addition from what we have at home which seemed to defeat the entire purpose.

My wife and I did blue apron off and on for years until a couple years ago when the quality became really subpar. We noticed the cuts of beef were worse and were really tough, the veggies would arrive looking like they had already aged significantly. Haven’t looked back since we saw the quality dip

kinda late to the convo but when I went to the grocery store I went to Walmart at about 10:30 am on Tuesday. The store itself was more crowded than it would usually be at that time, but not bad at all
There was no line for check out at all
Some stuff was picked over and had NONE left (pasta, frozen pizza, chicken, and then they were restocking ground beef while I was there) but for the most part there wasn’t a shortage

honestly I felt okay there because they of course have wipes at the entrance so as long as you wipe before and after, don’t touch your face in the interim, and keep your distance from people it should be okay to shop (imo)
