So it seems like yeah, they’ve gone for the speed and efficiency route. That thing is gonna be fucking swift. And considering they have all the exclusives that interest me - hell fuckin ye I’m going for that over the X.

 

Everyone in the Xbox One subreddit is like "can you believe Sony decided to release a weaker console? They're going to get trounced. TERAFLOPS MASTER RACE" and all sorts of nonsense, but they don't actually read enough about how the console utilizes all these things.

I mean the Xbox IS more powerful while the PS5 is faster. Not that it’s a bad thing.

Man, not to spark a debate or anything but it's kinda gross how many more Sony IPs I want to play than what xbox offers. But if the Ninja Gaiden games, Psychonauts 3 and Cuphead 2 are console exclusive I don't know what I'm gonna do lol. They're acquiring some good studios. The one-sidedness of current gen was kinda nice tbh.

 

The second I saw him trying to convince people the PS5's memory bandwidth is better because it's not "cut up", I pretty much checked out. That's grasping at straws if I've ever seen it.

I don’t plan on getting either until they’re below $500 and from the looks of it that won’t be at launch. Xbox letting players download their XONE games onto their Series X at launch is nice, though.

 

PS5 will probably launch at $400 dollars tbh.

 

Idk if Sony would be willing to sell their console at a loss. Those specs make the early rumors of it being around $500 believable. The only way I’d spend that much on it is if Spider-Man 2 is a launch title, which I doubt will happen.

 

Not to mention the mid gen upgrades coming up in two or three years (unless they're available at launch, which there are rumors about, though still unconfirmed)

 

I think they would if the Series X launches at $500 dollars. Which it most likely will. I doubt Sony is gonna have the PS5 launch at the same price point as the Series X.

 

I think Sony would sell them at a loss if it meant getting it in the hands of more people and if they had great first party games at launch. That would be a deadly combination.

Recent owner of a Switch. Trying to avoid what I've done with literally every other console I've ever owned, which is buy games faster than I can play them. So far so good: almost done with Super Mario Odyssey and about ten hours into Skyrim, which are the two Switch games I own.

That said: any recommendations for a FPS/online battle whatever style game for the Switch? Used to play a ton of Halo in high school and college (like everyone else), and I've been missing that type of game for years now. Really just want something to scratch the itch in between all the single player stuff. Any thoughts?
