People risked their lives to vote during a pandemic for a guy who doesn't even want them to have healthcare.

In other news my phone line is open for anyone who contracts a serious case of the coronavirus while standing in long lines or packed into polling places today and feels like suing the DNC. Pretty sure a lucrative class action will come of this

so then, who? At least in your mindset.

    seriously.

No one? Pencil Sanders in (who I voted for in MA)? If thats what you think to do then congrats to Trump on winning re-election (when he was going to win either way, honestly).

Yang hitched his horse to the winning wagon. Probably liked Bernie more than Joe all things equal, but liked aligning himself with the guy who was gonna win even more.

Initital Cook County results show Bernie surprisingly close to Biden, which would be good if it held up. Key word is if

tbh I think the real explanation behind that tweet (and others) is that Yang is just a fucking weirdo

I had it so backwards I thought you should endorse who you think will carry your values and make the best president, turns out you should endorse who think will win. Which will always be who the media says will win. Explains a lot.

The fuckin Ohio Democratic Party is suing the state over delaying this primary.

i don’t know how else to put it, and i don’t know what other conclusion there is to come to. The Democratic Party would see people die if it meant stamping out the left.

Vote in November, don’t vote, whatever sits well with your soul. But if you’re emotionally, physically, and financially capable, and you don’t immediately begin fighting to dismantle these two political parties and the system they aid, you’re fucking up.

    yeah good okay Prestigious

I emailed my supervisor about what measures are being taken for high risk individuals at work. I'm diabetic, my roommate is 8 months pregnant, and my fiance's roommate (I'm over there every day) is 4 months pregnant. As such we're immunocompromised and considered to be high risk when it comes to the virus symptoms. I think i overheard that a supervisor is staying home because he didn't want to risk getting his pregnant wife sick. Our department is shipping, so it's definitely not a work from home type of thing.

Anyone else have any experience with this at their places of work? What would you do in my place?

This is basically MMT, right? Keep interest rates at near 0 so the Gov can spend as much as it wants without future interest payments crowding out investment??

I'm looking for hope in that Bernie leads in Cook county by a small margin right now with 13% reporting. I just can't fathom it being this close when Biden is beating Bernie pretty badly in some other counties that Bernie won in 2016

I’m sorry to hear about your situation. I would definitely press your employer and at least try to get unemployment if your employer can’t work something out but if you don’t feel safe at work it’s completely reasonable to not go in.
Also, from everything I’ve read pregnant people do not appear to have a heightened risk and there’s strong evidence that it’s not passed onto babies or in breast milk. Now of course this virus is super new so very little is known for sure but if it makes you feel any better that’s what the science says currently I believe. Someone correct me if they’ve seen differently.
Edit: it’s probably much more accurate to say the risk to pregnant women is not yet understood but my wife corrected me and told me pregnant women in general are at higher risks from viruses.
