Any TP?

 

NH finally shut down restaurants and bars outside of takeout and delivery. A co-worker of mine's parents own an Indian restaurant and he's worried.

 

they are somehow fucking this up even worse than us. MUCH worse from what i've seen. its fucking insane.

 

we're trying to implement something like Zoom in the interim while city hall is shut down but like...every business and city is using Zoom or adjacent platforms now and I'm just waiting for them to start going down or experiencing outages due to increase in traffic

 

democrats are fucking limp dicked cowards. this is, perhaps distasteful to say, but a massive, massive political opportunity that they are blowing as bad as they've ever blown anything. and this is democrats we're talking about so they've blown a lot of shit badly. they're going to fucking get shit on because nancy pelosi refused to pass a bill that gives people any money unless they are confirmed sick with the disease and work for a company with between 50 and 500 employees. dumb fucking pieces of shit. they deserve the loss don't get me wrong i just wish it didn't come at everyone else's expense. i fucking hate democrats so fucking much

nancy pelosi is killing you with a smile on her face. fuck her. i hate her and every senior democrat with every fiber of my being. at BEST we are going to a get a suspension of collecting of rent and mortgages during this but they won't do a full jubilee where not only are collections suspended but you also won't have to pay it back afterwards. they won't do it or even try. millions of people are going to be in the street and all of them are going to die and nancy pelosi is going to get on a podium and smile and say well republicans wouldn't have gone for it. and then they'll tell you you're being privileged by not wanting to vote for them. but you'll be dead so it won't matter

 

Fuck, shit is so bleak.

 

Had a 14 top of Spring Breaker’s last night. It went a little something like this:

Spring Breaker #1: “I’ll have a Corona. Hold the the virus!”
Spring Breaker #2-13: *laugh obnoxiously loud*
Spring Breaker #7: “Bro you’re so funny!”
Me: “I read that meme. Not original or funny. Corona coming right up for ya.”

Thank goodness for auto gratuity.

 

tbf, I imagine the most likely scenario in a suspension of mortgage/loan payments is not that people will have to make higher payments after the suspension is up, but rather that the two or three months that they were suspended end of the getting tacked on to the back end of the loan.

though that may depend on policy makers in the future

 

fair with loans, but what about rent? people get loans from banks, millions of people rent from random assholes

 

Thankfully the Urgent Care facility near me that said they aren't doing testing just put out a new email today saying they are now testing people who have the appropriate symptoms. It's a better step anyways.

4:22 p.m. — Colorado will give unemployment benefits to those laid off due to COVID-19
The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) announced Monday that it will give assistance for workers and employers during temporary closures as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Workers who have a reduction in hours or wages may file an unemployment claim at coloradoui.gov. The department is also taking steps to reduce the impact of these claims on employers who have had to temporarily lay off staff due to closures or slowdown.

CDLE is promoting paid leave, remote work and its programs like work-share as alternatives to lay-offs.
