sorry for the triple post but I’m pumped up listening to the album this morning lol. I feel like we’re so lucky to still have them touring like they are; it make it so easy to take them for granted, so I’m gonna go hard at the Detroit show even if I’m sore after :crylaugh:

I can't believe they're almost 40 and still playing 2 hour sets, it's so great and yeah I feel like we may take that for granted cause one day it might not happen anymore. I went hard at my show and my body is still recovering but it was so worth it, have fun!!

Alright so I retract my last post. I like the album a lot. It’s catchy as hell.

Yeah I'm really liking this. It's different enough from their previous material to keep me interested, but similar enough to not turn me off.

I,,,,,,don't love this but its not terrible. They're such a consistent band that even when a record doesn't hit me, it's still pretty good.

**Say Yes sounds like Call Me Maybe era Carly Rae Jepsen and I absolutely fuck with it.**

Burn it down is definitely still one of my most played. After shape shift it’s probably my favorite chorus.

Anyone else think that they went slight overkill with the guest appearances but none of them really offer much?

I think I'd like Burn It Down more if it was Shane doing Caleb's part, and the same thing goes for the Simple Plan guy. The only one I kind of liked was Princess Nokia's feature. It says Bad Habits features Intervals but I can't actually tell which part they're involved in?!

I just assumed the intervals feature was Paul Marc until I saw otherwise

    Intervals does the guitar solo.

They fixed your brain when you were young.

I think it miiiight be just a little overkill - though I don't mind any of the features. If I had to guess though, since the record was more "pop" influence, I'd guess they went the route of a lot of pop music by having a handful of features per album. Also, in the Spotify era, having a feature and tagging that feature in the track is a pretty good move to get traction with the algorithm and reach people listening to those features.

    Vinyl looks and sounds great!

Looks like Nick Steinhardt did the artwork

It's all growing on me since the release, but still low in comparison of their discography as a whole.

Bought the indie exclusive because I have no restraint. My European copy came in 3 days early now and I’m not sure which I want to keep

This is the first Silverstein album that I haven't gone back to. I gave it about 5-6 spins and I just don't enjoy the majority of it.

Oh well not everything is going to be for everyone.

So I am quoting myself here to provide an update after many more listens. It's not a bad album, but its certainly flawed. Definitely more pop-leaning than some other albums and they definitely tried to branch out from their typical formula.

Top tracks: Infinite, Burn It Down, Where Are You, All On Me
Mediocre tracks: September 14th, Stop, Shape Shift, Bad Habits, Coming Down
B-side worthy at best tracks: Say Yes!, Madness (sorry I think the Princess Nokia feature is awful), Take What You Give (yea, no Pierre)

I really love this record. Stop, Shape Shift, and Coming Down are easy favorites for me. I also really love what they did with All On Me.

Crazy to think that PMR has been on the band for almost 10 years now. He’s been such an asset for them. So lucky to have this lineup.

I keep coming back to this and it's definitely growing on me more than I thought it would, but I'm still not really big on Infinite or Burn It Down. All On Me is alright but kind of weak. The rest I'm fine with and I find myself liking the record more the more I come to terms with the fact that this is a very different Silverstein record.

Also September 14th sounds like it could be on Rescue and that makes me happy.
