    Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson have announced they’ve tested positive for coronavirus.


    Hello, folks. Rita and I are down here in Australia. We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive.

    Well, now. What to do next? The Medical Officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks’ will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no?

    We’ll keep the world posted and updated.

    Where is the notification that my grandma tested positive for flu? Media is making everybody act irrationally about this.

    Tell your grandma to get her inactivated flu vaccine then. Unfortunately for COVID-19 though, there currently is no vaccine and likely won't be until 2021. Italy has over 1,000 deaths with over 15,000 infections. That's over a ~6.5% mortality rate - which is significantly higher than the flu's mortality rate (0.1%?).. they do have an unusually high elderly population but we should be doing all we can to protect them and any immunocompromised people in particular. 15-20% worldwide cases seem serious/critical too. So how are you comparing the two??

    In regards to Tom Hanks, he is a type 2 diabetic. This can be a genuine concern for his health. Hopefully he'll recover fine, however.

    People are acting irrationally. The daily show played clips of people fighting over TP in grocery stores in the US yesterday. BUT, this virus is way more of a concern than the flu.
