If the season gets actually cancelled, what happens? Surely there are two options?

The season is totally restarted. Liverpool would be mad because their best season is null and void, Sheffield United would be pissed because they are on for Europe, etc.

Or we just finish it now. But United and Arsenal could argue as two of the leagues most in form sides, they would be missing out on a potentially good end to the season, not to mention the relegation/promotion issues this would incur.

I honestly don't see how they can do this.

This is 100% the best decision. However, it will also fuck up next season a bit. Would probably have to start next season late.

I wouldn't mind, if City are still getting kicked out of the Champions League. Just null and void the season but send the top 4 eligible teams to the CL and the next eligible ones to the Europa League

Dunno what would happen with regards to the FA cup though. It's a fucking headache altogether.

 

Cancel the season and leave the title vacant, no league champion.

Hey, bright side for corruption, it could give all the European leagues a chance to shift their schedules for the next few years because, you know, we handed a mid-summer tournament to a desert country and then shockingly had to move it to the winter so players wouldn't die.

 

Roma's plane was refused entry to Spain for their match with Seville and Getafe are refusing to fly to Milan for their match with Inter. Assuming all competitions will be halted by the end of the day now.

I think UEFA is hoping to play the next two weeks and lay out a plan after that.

I'd seriously LOL if they had to cancel the EPL season.

Atleti making the mistake they made against Juve last season of dropping just a little bit too deep. Defence could do with being just a few yards higher. They're cutting off the long pass fairly well but Simeone will want them to close crosses down better.
