I'm so-so on The Clash.... London Calling is a great time but Combat Rock is... uneven at best, some real clunkers on there, and I haven't yet convinced myself to listen to all 3 discs of Sandinista, but I can not imagine all 36 tracks are worth it.

how many canonical chorus/ap records are to some degree inspired by queen

Yeah, I'm not going to take slander when it comes to Queen. Freddie has the greatest voice in rock history and you could make an argument that they are the most diverse band of all time.

Black Sabbath is what got me really into music and I'm very thankful for that, I listen to them very often

a lot of bands that are considered "classic rock" don't really interest me. like I recognize their importance and influence, and I won't complain if someone puts on a Stones record or whatever, but I'll never seek it out myself.

I was this way and now I kinda feel the opposite and am excited about a lot of the classic rock I've missed out on over time

I listened to a lot when I was younger but missed out on a lot too

I use to hate the Stones, but now I love them as I've gotten older.

I never understood the hype about Nirvana, Dave Grohl has the better band now.

the thing about the Jimi Hendrix Experience is that while they only have 3 studio albums, they are all hard 10/10s. most other classic rock bands have at least one or two clunkers in there. Jimi does not

The Outlaw Torn and Where The Wild Things Are. Two of my favourite Metallica songs. The Outlaw Torn is definitely in my top ten.

I didn't listen to The Who growing up and I'm listening now cuz I'm curious to where I would stand on them given the thread reaction to them

    They're great

I was never really exposed to “classic” music as a kid and didn’t even hear an entire Beatles album until I was 18. So I’m still playing catch up.

The first time I heard the Beatles was when I was about 7 years old, but than when I heard Ride The Lighting for the very first time at a very young age it changed my life.
