I went to a phone bank party for Bernie yesterday and it was awesome. Wish I had done it sooner but good old anxiety held me back. So many people actually care about making this country a better place it's just sad that we're drowned out by people who don't care about anything other than maintaining a status quo, leaving those whom this country doesn't work for too beaten down to organize.

 

as someone with anxiety, I wish there was a way for me to convince other folks with anxiety how easy/chill phone banking is, even if you have to go to a campaign office to do it. Everyone is so friendly and chillin haha

 

FWIW-my contract says that Biden shortlist leak is “wildly awfully sourced”. Not sure if they know something or are just mad about the reaction to it and letting their bias play into it

talking about Kamala and Booker...Pete and Amy were obviously clearing the middle lane for Biden once they lost all hope in SC and since that was the main reason they were dropping out, it made sense for them.

they’re also both way closer to Biden policy wise than anyone else was in the race haha

 

Yeah, this whole thing should have started 30yrs ago. They shouldn’t have screwed Jesse Jackson but hey, they’re rich now so that’s what’s important

 

i doubt anything off the table at this point just because there’s no way the campaign is at the point yet where they’re setting up their cabinet nominees yet. Just not something they do beyond throwing some names out there like we all do at this point

Ever had a friend's partner or friend of a friend you didn't really like but knew was going to be at some gathering so you had to spend some time trying to like psych yourself up to be fake nice and interested once you got there? I'm having that sense of doom thinking about Biden and having to psych myself up to convince people to vote for him and it's psychic torture.

 

the key is to focus on what is funny about him, there is a ton, just imagine if he wasn't running for president and everything you would find funny and then don't even think about it but just transfer that energy to politics without actually thinking of the reality

 

i feel existential dread thinking about voting for Biden in November. Both at how awful his administration would be and also about how it probably won't matter because he'll more than likely lose to trump anyway.

 

The malarkey thing is a funny catchphrase! Play that up!
