It's boring from a fan perspective, can you imagine playing basically the same setlist for that long? I'm fascinated at how they do it

The craziest thing about The Ataris is how they somehow wrote “Welcome the Night”.

That's a great point! I've never been to a solo gig, but that makes me wonder if it's the lack of consistent players as far as touring goes. It's easier to play the whole set than have a few hired guns who aren't fully committed to the band just know a core 12-15 songs they can play.

I kinda liked that album. Perspective would have been different, I think, had it been released like, two years later and been positioned as a solo project. But now we're far away from tour speculations...

The band that opened the show did the same thing in order to play.
So during the set Kris was singing but looking a lot at the guitarist and bassist, during one song he went to the bassist's pedal board mid song and pushes a pedal for him all mad. After another song was done he went to the guitarist's pedal board and starting to mess with his pedals for some reason. He also got mad at the bass player one more time during the set, nobody knows why. By the end of the show the vibe from the crowd was almost gone.

Also, thinking this could be an amphitheater run this summer? I know Joyce said August in Chicago it would make sense.

  16. Large clubs (Aragon probably in Chicago) make more sense to me, unless The Front Bottoms are way bigger than I realize.

I could see that tour hitting Express Live outdoor in Columbus. ~5000 people.

i NEED to see 23 played while staring at the Cleveland skyline at dawn.

EDIT: I'm not fixing this slip-up.

    It's chaos. Be kind. Prestigious

I think that tour's hitting Detroit based on Jimmy's spring routing, but if it does come to Express I'd be down to coming down for it. Seems like a perfect tour to finally cross that venue off my bucket list.

I went for Jimmy Eat World's set on the TEB tour last summer. They played 23 then but the crowd was lame for their set besides The Middle. With TFB playing here already I'm not expecting Cleveland. I'd like to be wrong because that would be a fun Nautica show.

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

    JEW/TFB/JM is a 10/10 tour

But seeing as JEW is playing Chain Fest in Irvine in May, that probably means lack of SoCal dates and that makes me A N G R Y

Last time The Front Bottoms were here they played the Aragon. I don’t know if it sold out or sold well because I didn’t/couldn’t go, but if it did well there I could see them playing Northerly Island. Although it’s weird thinking of them playing an amphitheater because I don’t really see them as an amphitheater band.

Edit: If JEW is on the bill and this is in August then this will definitely hit Northerly Island.
