that works! i still don't have any matches done this week and i need to do possibly 4 next week and i'm currently trying to build a team for my match later

can't wait for the weekend. work has been hectic

man i loved that match. there wasn't any pokemon in my team that can really setup and sweep your lineup so i knew i had to be very patient with this one. i was trying so hard to evade those debuffs haha. i was really hoping you won't bring Rillaboom in

 

not sure if Sableye would've been able to stop Excadrill, but I didn't expect Braviary to be that bulky. I totally forgot about Roost. Had I known I would've just went for Toxic.

 

Your Sableye totally neutralized my Braviary, who I was bringing in as a wildcard.
I didn’t realize the burn would still half my attack with Defiant. So that was frustrating. But I guess it doesn’t count as a stat change.

 

Unaware Quagsire vs +6 Braviary had me rolling, and both had access to recovery

when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object, PP WARS

 

also i did not know Prankster did that? i thought you wouldn't just get the priority. i didn't know it would negate the move entirely

that lead really ruined my momentum early game. my last 4 matches i felt good with my lead picks, this one was very disorienting

 

Yeah it negates it completely, I did the same thing against @JRShoenberger trying to thunder wave his Weavile

end of Week 3 Report:


vs @JRShoenberger
- I couldn't find any clean ways to win this match so I knew I had to rely on my favorite playstyle: stall
- Jordan had a lot of wallbreakers (Conk, Rillaboom, Braviary) so I had to be patient in this match, really needed to play my cards right because my team has really good walls.
- Access to Flash Fire, Water Absorb, Lightning Rod meant it was hard to be offensive on the team too (bye Rotom-H)
- POST MATCH: My biggest mistake on this match was replacing Stealth Rock with Spikes. I thought Ferrothorn would have lots of opportunities to setup but that barely happened. I vastly underestimated Braviary's bulk too. Tyranitar was also underused, and didn't know what it wanted to do.
- POST MATCH: Having the wrong lead at the start can ruin a player's tempo, and damn it hurt. Centiskorch vs Ferrothorn was just a horrible.

vs @morgantayler
- Corviknight, Hydreigon and Haxorus are the big threats. The problem is Hydreigon is SpA, Haxorus is Atk and both can setup so Quagsire was a proper check for both with different builds, but not at the same time. Also Quagsire can't respond back with Toxic because for some reason she had 4 very different Steel types which is great if you're morgan, and bad if you're on the opposite side. So I went with Sableye for Encore (stops Nasty Plot AND Dragon Dance).
- Added Vaporeon for Wish support
- Scarfed Modest Rotom-H for that massive Volt Switch damage.
- Stealth Rock!!!!!
- Tyranitar is the easy mode, but Sigilyph was my best chance of success (despite the entire team generally resisting Psychic). If it had buffed at least thrice, nothing could really threaten it except critical hits.
- POST MATCH: goodness that was a terrifying team. so many opportunities to setup buffs.

 

@thenewmatthewperry When would you like to battle? I'll be free pretty much every day but tomorrow (and probably tomorrow too)

 

@Fucking Dustin DESTROYED me in like 17/20 matches
