Song rules. Really loving this string of singles (“New Patek” onward).

I never believe a word he says but apparently he was saying new album in 2 weeks on IG recently. Random single gives me a shred of hope that he’s for real this time.

 

Apparently this only came out because there was a group buy and it was going to leak either way. Love the song though.

Given the way hip hop albums are structured to play the charts now, I wouldn't be surprised to see "New Patek" tacked onto the end. But it would be cool if this was all new stuff and/or didn't feel like it was cobbled together to maximize streaming numbers.

 

Crazy how long it's been since the album was first announced. For a while I forgot it was even a thing. I'm interested to see how different this album is going to be from his older stuff.

 

I went back to Luv is Rage 2 and Lil Uzi Vert vs. the World today and they're both just incredible. Already classics wrt this wave of rappers imo. It'll be so interesting to hear how this one compares. I really like all the recent singles but I also think they're maybe more interesting conceptually than anything else. The sounds and ideas he's working with are so cool but at the same time nothing quite hits me like "You Was Right" or "The Way Life Goes" or "XO Tour Llif3". If it all comes together on the project though, it could be something really special.
