I am not an angels fan. I'm just in awe at how bad/complacent that organization has been over the past few years.

Guy publicly says he wants to get traded to a contender, then gets traded to a contender and vetoes trade.

 

Would you all prefer that Jonathan Lucroy's no-trade clause just be symbolic? If he can't use it to prevent going to a situation he's not happy with, why even have it?

 

They're just mad because they're Cleveland fans and they wanted him to improve their dumpster fire of a catcher situation, they feel rejected so they feel the need to retaliate. It probably feels personal because he was basically like "Cleveland?!? No thanks! I'd rather stay with this tanking team another year and lose more games after I stated how much I would love to play for a contender."

 

Yeah, it's stupid to get mad at someone for using the power they were given in their contract. How dare they use what they negotiated for!!

 

Accidentally got today off of work, so watching MLBTradeRumors is now my day. This is gonna be fun.

 

I think the only reason guys like Santiago or Shoemaker haven't been traded yet is that 3/5 of the rotation are going to Tommy John for the next year and a half.

The Angels have played decent ball this year, but have been plagued by injuries. It's given Eppler this mindset that the Angels will contend next year. Scioscia needs to move on. It is definitely time for a new direction in management.

All in all, the position the Angels are in is Moreno/Dipoto's fault. Those big, awful contracts killed a lot of things for the team, which will take years to get back.

I really just want to see the Angels trade Bedrosian somewhere that he won't be a stud closer the rest of the year, because I stupidly dropped him in fantasy right before he climbed up the depth chart to the set-up man. :D

 

I was studying abroad in Berlin for five weeks and I just got back a couple days ago so I've been too distant to participate in here. But it was hilarious waking up everyday in Germany and seeing the Angels lose game after game.

Yesterday's game was a shit show. Just brings up memories of that HOU/LAA game last season where Street gave up a 5-1 lead in the ninth. That playoff race was tight to the end and it was games like that one the Angels really needed to win.

 

Another year of displeased trout, probably scared every Angels fan. They can't even make more trades because they have no more farm system lol it's a bummer

 

also the orioles acquiring Wade Miley is SUCH an O's pitching acquisition. I know how depleted and terrible the orioles farm system is but jesus, talk about a team that should do everything in its power to find themselves REAL pitching
