sanders will mop the floor with him and it won't move the polls more than a point or two. however, how the media covers it the following day will matter much much more imo

A politician is not a someone that needs to be coddled or taken care of. They should always be held to task for their mistakes, them backing up on their own self professed values, and their behavior during their campaign. They work for us. Mean tweets directed at a politician are not abuse.

I am not arguing optics here (specifically, the optics in courting Warren voters, or the morality of critical tweets). I am arguing that politicians do not need to be protected from their own bad decisions, and the blowback for that.

biggest problem is... GOP aren't gonna let this happen. Regardless of Joe or Bernie they are still gonna throw a temper tantrum about everything they do and further exhaust voters.

  12. The mistake of ... confirming a story they believed happened? And the bad decision of saying a conversation happened she believed happened. Yeah. That doesn’t merit what we saw. It just doesn’t.

I’ve been disappointed in some of how Warren has gone after Bernie but overall I’ve really liked her campaign. Bernie is better imo but Warren is good and I still believe in her. But if she ends up not endorsing Bernie or worse endorses Biden I’ll no longer believe in her (unless it comes out that Bernie did something to legitimately turn her away). She can maybe earn it back but I’ll be highly suspect of her values vs whether she just wants power. It’s too early to even suspect she won’t endorse Bernie though, I have faith that she will.

Backing up on her Medicare for All policy, her backing up on Super PAC's, retreating from progressive rhetoric and leaning in more on identity politics after hiring Hillary Clinton campaign staffers, her campaign's treatment of the people of color on her campaign staff in Nevada, and staying in this race for as long as she has without attempting to form a coalition with or endorse Bernie.

    And yes, that too.

It is unfortunate because yes, I do believe sexism definitely played a hand in her campaign's downfall, but I think the biggest issue was her backing away from the values she supposedly held.

And at the end of the day it also came down to subjective things for me personally - for example, her reliance upon personal anecdotes that ring sort of hollow in today's policy driven climate.

I can't waste too much time speculating and worrying about whether or not she will or won't endorse bernie or will or won't endorse biden or won't endorse anyone. Whatever she decides to do or not to do, we are going to have to plan to win without her endorsement right now to be safe. It's time to kiss as much ass and eat as much shit as possible to win over as many warren voters as possible. outside sleep and work, i'll be making calls and texts as much as i can
