I’ve got a 55 year old coworker who LOVES Biden.

So yesterday I literally asked: “what’s his main policy?”

Her: “To restore America’s faith”
Me: “no like a real policy”
Her: “to heal America”
Me: “no like a real policy”
Her: “He’s fighting for the middle class”

She then minutes later went to his website and read excerpts which are all just generic statements. I still have no idea anything he wants to do.

 

One day we're gonna find some leaked DNC docs that give instructions on how to give up more power to republicans.

 

The Obama admin ignored the cries coming from the flint water crisis and stood idly by while Flint violated the safe drinking water act but I’m sure Biden won’t take any credit for that, only the good things

I believe in there being a “media lag” effect in the general public. Not sure if anyone has any papers or articles around that, but I started thinking about it in regards to musicians career progression where they have a smaller, albeit critically acclaimed, album that gains a ton of media press, capitalize on it on the next album cycle for a product that is demonstrably worse, then plod along after that. Feels like the same thing with Biden.

 

I'm seeing some Twitter takes on Trump's re-electability that are more troubling than the Dem frontrunner's mental state. Some stuff about how his poor favorability means he has to expand his base this time or whatever? Like, no, you gotta be in a pretty hardcore liberal bubble to honestly believe that. There's not this massive movement of conservatives who voted for him in '16, are disappointed in what he's done in office, & are now opposed to him in '20.
