Wtf I just bought tickets yesterday!

 

When they take the name seriously

 

maybe trying to be the hot holiday film now that there won't be any new SW movies to compete with?

 

Yeah bought my tickets this morning. Weird to push it so close to release.

 

Or an overreaction to the Coronavirus outbreak, only reason I can think of to delay after tickets have been put on sale.

 

November 25th US release

 

hmm....didn't think of that one and it makes a lot of sense

 

Thing is, no other films have delayed their releases and I personally haven't felt uneasy about being at a cinema.

 

Yeah this is really bizarre honestly

 

Mulan and Fast & Furious should be pushed back due to how global their audiences are. Their box office will be low if they stick to their original release dates.

 

It's not that bizarre. Plenty of countries outside the U.S./England have closed theaters because of the virus (Italy, South Korea, China, Japan, etc.). For a tentpole release like Bond, I get them wanting to have the biggest audience possible for it, even though I was really looking forward to seeing it in a month. I wouldn't be shocked if more films do this.

 

Depends whether the cost of the advertising that has been done already would be too great or not. I can't imagine it is cheap to advertise a film for months with a release date and then push back by several months and have to start that process all over again.

Crazy it’s being postponed a full year back from the original 11/2019 date... I guess I’ll have something to look forward to watching during the time off around Thanksgiving. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

No one in China is going to a cinema. Fast and Furious and Mulan could both miss out on 500m or up. I don’t know what track record 007 has in China but Europe is about to get hit bad with public hysteria.
