So I totally forgot that Black Label Pro is also having a show Saturday afternoon. It gonna be a good day for wrestling.

 

Btw if Mansoor ever turned on Saudi Arabia I would buy all the mansoor merch ever made cause I would die from laughter

I will say the only Defy show I've been to was better than almost every WWE show I've been to. They haven't been down to Portland in a while, but Prestige is kind of taking their place which is awesome.

 

I’ve never been to a “real” WWE show because they don’t run them here. Just house shows which are routinely a bit shitty.

Defy is cool, but I find it focuses a bit much on just the wrestling portion and not the character development/story work.

Have you checked out any of the DOA stuff? I haven't seen any DOA *or* Prestige, so could be wildly off base here, but looking at rosters/how they present themselves it seems like DOA might be closer to the stuff 321 does whereas Prestige is closer to the stuff Defy does.

 

I haven't, but that's gonna change soon. That comparison makes a lot of sense and I'd say its fairly accurate just based on how they promote the shows. Its hard for me to bite the bullet on prestige because it's so expensive. The cheapest tickets are 45 bucks which is more than I paid to attend Takeover. DOA tickets for 15 bucks which seems like a cheap, fun time.

 

The march 1st show of theirs definitely looks like a lot of fun. Seen a bunch of names there at 321 and they are all fun to watch. Pitfall Jones and Judas Icarus had one of my favorite matches of 2019. Makabe and Jaiden are two of the best (though I'm curious how they'll pair up because Makabe is a really strong technical wrestler where as Jaiden tends to do more high flying stuff). For $15 unless you have other plans you should definitely go.
