The Hold Steady has a Los Angeles residency September 10-12, so they're probably out.

Reel Big Fish are never going to play this thing, are they?

They now have a show in early June w- The Aquabats. (House Of Blues)

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

Out of all third wave ska bands, it genuinely surprises me that they’ve never played

That Against Me!, Baroness & Drug Church tour skips Chicago.

AM! played last year so they're probably out

At this rate I’m convinced MCR is the only band on the festival

  7. I could see AM! headlining Wicker Park Fest or 350 Fest. Really hope Baroness is on Riot though.

Drug Church would be a great fit on the side stage

Put them in the same slot/time of day Angel Du$t was last year.

Drug Church are up there with Spanish Love Songs in the category of "smaller bands that really should have played by now."

Movements and The Maine are those Warped Tour banda that would fit Riot and for some reason havent played yet. Also Waterparks but they still have a chance.

has there been any indication its happening again this year?

no not happening. the promoters last year had to file for bankruptcy cuz of how much of a hit they took on it

Gotta be honest. Most of the bands being ruled out at this point are ones that I was hoping wouldn't play but were half-expecting to be there.

For real. Would've been alright with seeing Movements, but none of the ruled out bands have bummed me out like some have in the past. Still waiting for Lolla/350/Wicker Park fest to piss me off though.

ive learned to become comfortable with the fact that i will usually not be a fan of a good 40% of bands on the line up, because if i loved everyone, then its an endless barrage of conflicts. haha

I'm kind of hoping for fewer bands this year. Last year I ran myself ragged and ended up dipping halfway through the last day. This year I'm watching 5 bands per day at the very most and camping out for good spots.

Last year was my first year, was that a lot more bands than usual? Or do you mean that it was more bands that you liked than usual?
