I got the same feeling from KH3 as I did DMC5. felt like a PS2 game in the worst way.

I stopped trying to figure out wtf was happening in Kingdom Hearts’ story and it helped me enjoy just playing through neat Disney areas. I played the main three but none of the others

 

I am glad though they started incorporating the Disney rides into the game because they are essential to Disney.

 

There are a ton of great JRPGs out right now.

Also a lot of terrible terrible ones.

Ask me for both.

 

I liked KH3 but totally get why others didn’t

 

last night I had goldfinger’s Superman on repeat just because I was thinking about THPS and I’m sad the pc version is so bad

Excluding Nintendo I feel like this gen has been the worst generation as far as the state of the game AAA industry is concerned

 

The problem with this gen was the Western AAA games have mostly been void of any sort of originality

Yeah, not enough width in AAA (and AA) releases, partly due to rising developments costs, and certainly not enough creativity

 

And with rising development costs, why would you make a niche original game when you could sell many more copies of a generic open world game or FPS
