News like this just makes me sad, because the first movie is still perfect and I don't want them dragging Ellie back into these messy sequels.

 

The first movie is still perfect regardless of anything having to do with this movie

 

Oh for sure, 100% meant to infer that notion— gonna treat these sequels like the Terminator sequels after T2: as far as I’m concerned, they don’t exist.

 

Forgot to reply to this. JW1 was meh for me with some decent things. I figured with a better director, FK would at least potentially be an improvement. Serves me right

Oh good, some of the actually likable characters.

One of the biggest draws to these films is Chris Pratt

 

I know that to be true but like, can you imagine thinking that?

 

Acting wise, yes. His name draws more people than the rest of the cast.

I don’t think it’s hard to think on that.

 

I always thought Jake Johnson's character should have replaced that nerdy tech guy from Fallen Kingdom. He already filled that niche anyway, and is a much more charismatic actor.

I only watch these latest movies to see big Dino’s fight. All the charm, and suspense of the original(hell even LW) is gone.

 

The spectacle of dinosaurs is what drives people to the movie. Pratt might be part of it, but if they replaced him with a sack of potatoes most people would not notice.

 

I think I might have accidentally put invisible text over my “acting wise, yes” comment. How do I remove it?

 

Last movie was horrible. I didn’t love the first JW but the idea was cool and I can imagine absolutely loving it if I was a kid though. It would be awesome if they made a dinosaur horror movie. Something like Dino crisis

 

I still maintain that JW was a ton of fun in the theater. I recognize that it's dumb as hell though and I don't really have a desire to rewatch it. Mildly interested in this one for the premise of Dino's let loose in the world even though I did not like Fallen Kingdom.

 

We still agree that The Lost World is one of the best right?

 

The Lost World is severely underrated.
