My insurance is waaaaay better than this hah. It’s also a lot more expensive, but between the state and the district I pay $0 out of pocket for premiums

Honestly I think people in this thread would be apoplectic at how good my health insurance is lol. If there are people out there with similar insurance to our district, then I can see why they would like their insurance/wouldn’t want to give it up

Well you should say fuck you to whoever that boss of yours is and unionize! Lol

Even some of the more generous pre-ACA public option proposals I’ve seen aren’t quite as generous as my insurance is. Though the one I’ve touted in here often has a lower OOP maximum for people above a certain income than mine currently is

Medicaid is still probably the best insurance I’ve ever had, though I did worry at times about a doctor or hospital that wouldn’t accept itz

  10. Ok, here's a guess: she now sees that the administration is bulletproof and can do whatever the fuck they want without legal repercussions, so she's coming back

  12. This is a good idea. Gonna go on strike today. That'll show him.

Anyway, I think the past few days have shown why there are very really M4A fights that still need to be had in the details and that there will be issues from those otherwise allied with the left. Many private sector unions, especially in right to work states, see health insurance as one, if not the, top draw for workers. And a lot of unions don't really trust pols. And given the history, I get it. The fight is explaining why M4A is better. Why it'll lead to better insurance and more bargaining power. Things Sanders's plan has arguments and contingencies for, things you can find long essays about and have it explained. But, all that shit is a reality and why getting into the details is gonna be a mother fucker. Also, don't think it's one I'd wanna have right now in the primary. The official language from the Sanders campaign was good.

Oh, and fuck you and your good health insurance. I'm putting off the dentist :-p

Another possibility is literally no one wants to work for Trump so they had to beg her/probably throw a bunch of cash under the table at her

I'll write you into all of my songs Supporter

Situation where Dems win senate and Trump wins presidency would be absolutely insane. Considered that possibility and whoo boy

One potential problem I see that I'm not really sure how to address is that while you can trust Bernie to deliver on a M4A plan that replaces your current private health insurance with a public option that is just as good, its harder to trust that some republican isn't gonna eventually get into office and gut it. Whereas if the company tries to gut your private plan, then union is there to stop them.

The right move is still to go ahead with M4A, recognizing that its needed to keep costs down and that the people can still hold the pols accountable and prevent them from gutting it. Even for union members who already have good medical benefits, I feel like the benefits gained by freeing up bargaining power certainly should outweigh the risks involved. But I can understand the apprehension some members probably have
