I actually like this game but it usually starts when somebody misses payment.

 

Ma is up on HBO. That was a fun one. The final act was a little bit of a let down for me. I was hearing a lot about how off the rails it goes and I think I over hyped it in my head. It’s definitely crazy, but not near my expectations.

 

How is Southbound? I just watched Ghost Stories and really dug it. In the mood for good, loosely connected anthology horror.

My extended free trial ends in a few days, if I can stretch it to a fifth month I might never stop laughing.

 

I remember being disappointed (especially because I really enjoyed the V/H/S movies) but it's been so long that I can't honestly say it wasn't worth watching or anything

 

Judging from just the trailer, how much is this reinterpretation of The Invisible Man with Elisabeth Moss a diversion from the novel and previous film adaptations? I'm not familiar with the source material at all but the predatory undertone seems new.

 

Hollow Man was pretty predatory/gross/exploitative. The original from the 30s has a wackier tone and goes in a different direction.

That’s as far as my Invisible Man background goes though

 

Worth a watch if for nothing else than the Hospital Scene.

 

Take it with a grain of salt, but apparently Invisible Man is getting good early reactions on social media from early screenings.

 

Has anyone heard anything about Fantasy Island yet? Not sure how that one flew under my radar. I don't have high hopes after Truth or Dare, but the trailer looks like fun.

Just noticed Samara Weaving is in Guns Akimbo with Daniel Radcliffe. Not horror, but I know there are fans of The Babysitter and Ready or Not in here.

 

idk if The Green Knight is exactly horror or not but it looks dope

 

I finished Ash vs Evil Dead season 1 the other day and it was fun seeing her in that too.

Green Knight looks sick. Gives me Witch vibes.

 

It’s a pretty big diversion. In the book, a scientist becomes invisible, is driven mad, and then decides he is going to terrorize the world but is killed before he can start. In the original film, it’s the same type of thing, but he does actually commit some acts of terrorism.

The only real connection between the new movie and the source that I can tell by the preview is that someone is invisible haha

First great genre film of the 20s

 

The Invisible Man remake looks so bland and boring.

also, I’m not a fan of Elizabeth Moss and definitely not a fan of the Scientology cult which she belongs to

 

been trying to finish Nightmare Cinema for 2 days now. my wife and i have finished 3 out of the 5 stories, and thought they were just fine. maybe i’m just tired (been a busy first quarter) but i normally like weird anthologies

 

also recently finished What We Do in the Shadows (TV) and that one was super fun. i love that entire franchise, hope there are more either more seasons of the tv show or the planned swearwolves mockumentary
