They definitely pay attention, Matty has stated that the ILIWYS color aesthetic came from fans recoloring photos of them. Also, they post good memes.

 

I wonder if they were about to rename the album to Boot World lmao

 

Well that just crushed all my hopes of seeing them this album cycle

 

honestly kinda hope they take a break for 2-3 years to work on other projects before starting up again

 

I was really hoping this tour would have a Portland date. I know they just played here last year, but I really wanted to hear the new songs live (especially People). Oh well. Here's to 2022/2023.

 

Same. I'd even take a Seattle date. I knew they were planning on taking a break after this (and they should), I just wasn't ready for there not to be a single PNW show for this album.

Some strange observations that I don’t agree with in that, but found Matty discussing how some folk fetishise being a victim interesting. I’d love to sit down with him and just listen to him talk for a bit. He’s always seemed fascinating to me. Arrogant, but like, in an interesting and honest way? Idk it’s kinda hard to describe. Like watching a drunk person at a uni party spout their views but coming home and thinking ‘wow...he’s got a point there’ kinda thing haha. Always really admired him.

 

There might be no one in the world I’d rather sit down and have a real conversation with more than him
