What does it sound like the most? I’m a guy who loves basically everything except NWAF which I am only lukewarm on.

Their last album was their best since Not Without A Fight.

Haha touche! Yes that and Catalyst. You're right, it's to do with those albums being on a major label. I know they were exploring the idea of doing a vinyl box set a few years back but it's all gone quiet so I'd assume they weren't able to work it out. I think I have everything of theirs except these two albums obviously, FTSTYS II and the Shai Hulud split so I'm waiting impatiently for a release!

It's a shame the album (mostly) got leaked so early but I am liking it so far. I will be supporting them as always with a physical purchase or two.

This is the first NFG song in a long time, that I really dig!

 

That was better than I thought it would be. At least with the earlier stuff I was never into the vocals. He sounds better than I remember. Maybe I have to go back and listen to some other stuff too! Kinda like Senses Fail. The last one is great. And a lot has to do with Buddy being a better singer too!

 

Makes Me Sick was slightly better than Radiosurgery IMO.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always been a huge NFG fan... but starting with Catalyst, they’ve held a pretty consistent pattern where only every other album they release is a banger. Wasn’t thrilled with Makes Me Sick either, so I figure there’s reason to be excited for this new one.

 

Glad to see some love for the new jam in here.

liked all the albums except not without a fight. not a gang-vocals four year strong type guy. And even with that, I support the effort.

consistent band is consistent. I mean, jeez, idk how many bands out there can say they have 5++++ albums that range from really good to amazing.
