Not sure if those "Yes we did" chants were corny or wonderful

Also, a goal of being 100% renewable by 2030 being so ridiculous that it should disqualify a candidate as "anti-science" speaks to the level of cynicism and defeatism within American discourse. That isn't a radical idea.

not sure if corny is the general vibe at the DNC, but I prefer that to fearmongering and hate

I imagine Dom's revolution going somewhat like the Turkish Coup last week.

At least people like me may be in office by then to actually pass the things he wants into law.

I'll just mention that the article lays out a plan to get to 80% by 2030. We could have gotten to 100% by 2030 if the energy industry didn't drive politics, and Hillary is far from innocent in that.
And I'd encourage you to take her comments about Hillary seriously (although I've never heard her say Hillary would be worse, unless maybe for a particular issue or something). For climate, Hillary has always supported the energy industry, has lately pushed fracking, especially overseas where regulations are dismal and pollution runs rampart. This is very important to consider because climate change is obviously not simply a localized problem. Hillary is the one with a record of actually causing war and turmoil in the middle east, silencing women who accused her husband of rape, pushing laws that jail minorities and the poor, supporting corporate benefits despite welfare reform, and yes definitely supporting deporting mass amounts of immigrants. She has actually done these things. That's not a point to take lightly, in my opinion. Jill Stein is making the point that Hillary clinton is a disastrous choice on these issues if you look at her record. If you look at the dialogue right now I can see where it seems insane to say such a thing but the reality is there is reason to fear Hilary based on what she's actually done. That's arguably scarier than words.
I'd still agree with you that Trump is worse, but its annoying to always be pushed to that point as if it somehow acknowledges the legitimacy of supporting Clinton. If you support Clinton that's fine, but downplaying the fear of a Clinton presidency is a little unfair.
I do disagree that canceling student debt would so be disastrous. Admittedly I'm not a finance quant but I've read a good bit on the debate and I'm in the camp that ultimately the market would benefit from the increased disposable income (trickle down!! I know, I know not strong on this one). Anyway its shameful it can't be forgiven in bankruptcy, and the predatory practices of collection are far too overlooked.
I also disagree that we can't pull our foreign bases. Sure we can.

Dom's revolution will be faked by the president in order to help the president consolidate power?

Erdoğan definitely used it to consolidate power.

Whether it was all a hoax, Erdoğan knew about it but let it happen, or it was just a shitty coup attempt isn't really known. I figure it's probably a mix of the second and the third.

There's some conspiracy theories floating out there and frankly I don't entirely dismiss them. The coup was just so poorly executed, convieniently happens when the guy is out of the country, etc.

That being said, I could totally see a 'socialist' revolution getting staged by the right wing in the near future if they continue on the complete nut bag trajectory they're on. I tend to dismiss the hyperbole but we are looking at right wing party right now who's leader is embracing white nationalist rhetoric. I mean, how many steps to the right are we away from a power hungry dictator taking power?

I get it, you're a socialist who's head is too far up his own ass to admit his 'principles' (and I use that term loosely) will get more people hurt than he will openly talk about when pushing his narrative because he knows it will discredit his position.

I can do this passive aggressive bullshit all day, man.

That's because you lack the ability to see that today's political realities aren't necessarily those 30 years from now.

Nah, it's because your politics are boring and you seem to operate within a framework that has, in my mind, exposed its limitations long ago. If you want to run for office and try to change from within or w.e., knock yourself out. There are better ways to put your time and energy to use, though.
