I dunno how much of this album I'll revist when running through their music, but I really dig Take the Money and Crawl in particular.

Yeah it's just that the three I mentioned are my favourites by a distance. But all of the pre-21CB albums trample all over this.

Maybe fuck off with your hyperbolic bullshit? You are absolutely allowed to think this album is trash, I do not think any mature person cares about that part, but this shit needs to stop. I have listened to this album a lot more than 10 times and I am in love with the way that it sounds. I enjoy the lyrics. A lot of people really, really like this. A lot of people do not. Neither are wrong for their opinions, but the pretending that this is objectively garbage and that nobody could possibly like it is ridiculous.

As someone who loves the hives and Green Day, I don’t think this sounds as much like the hives as people seem to be implying it does

Billie has been posting cringe since Foxboro Hot Tubs became a thing, as much as I love that project.

To be fair if you’d cut only the word rock that could 100% be an ad for a lot of underground hip hop lol

It's almost as bad when a band says their upcoming album is the "hardest album they've ever done." I remember Bert McCracken would say that with every Used album until people caught on to the fact that it wasn't.

i've listened to 108 2020 releases so far this year and this is by far the least enjoyable. actually legit bad.

i tried listening as if i didn't know who this band was (which wasn't hard since Billie doesn't sound at all like he used to which was a shock to me since i haven't hear any of their stuff since American Idiot) and that didn't help. this is just generic and bland, which i get many will be fine with and enjoy but holy yikes from me. one and done as far as listening goes.

Not as bad as it has been made out to be.

Also the NHL embracing this album this year is very appropriate - every track sounds like every EA NHL menu track since 2007.

Just blasted through Nimrod. It’s still my favorite Green Day album. Gonna listen to this one again because it’s a lot of fun and has some cool sounds on it.

The riff on "Graffitia" reminds me so much of Andrew WK's "I Love New York City."

I'd rather suck his cock than listen to this album again.

    Misplaced an R for a C I think.

So, I think I've settled on the idea that there are about three legit good songs on here (title track, Sugar Youth, Graffitia) with most of the rest being pretty bad but oddly enjoyable for some reason (as I said before, at least there's a good amount of energy and I do enjoy the production quite a bit). Also, I didn't pay attention to any of the lyrics, and from many of the posts on here, I think that may have been for the best

Just listened through for the first time and I actually really enjoyed it. Aside from 2 or maybe 3 songs, it was very good. It’s different but not good different from some other things they have done. Some songs sound like they could fit on Revolution Radio and some maybe even the trilogy

(and from someone who is a bigger fan of newer Green Day sound than old Green Day, that’s not a bad thing. Go ahead tear me apart for that opinion)

Most I've enjoyed a green day album since American idiot. Then again it is less than 30 minutes

This album actually reminds me a lot of Jet. I used to be so into that band between 03-07.

Just dawned on me that the opening guitar riff for Take the Money and Crawl is basically the chorus to Blew by Nirvana.

Jet is exactly what this made think of but I couldn’t remember their name or any specific song
