finally saw this last night, absolutely loved it. was so invested in the characters, it was funny, dramatic. that cinematography of the racing but also the softer moments was absolutely terrific. the score was excellent. the sound design was tremendous. the theatre I saw it in definitely had a great sound system and it was hard not to take notice how impressive the sound work in the races was.

Yeah it was absolutely incredible. Didn’t feel like two and a half hours at all. Never expected it to be as funny as it was either.

Yeah, this was way better than expected. Sadder too. I knew nothing about the real-life situation surrounding this.

Bale and Damon are rightfully getting their accolades for this, but shout out to Tracy Letts who was excellent as Henry Ford Jr. The scene of him in the car with Damon was a highlight.

With the year coming to a close this remains my third favourite of 2019 which also means it is my favourite that isn't a sequel or a remake.

  12. This was good, and I did not feel the length. Bale and Damon were great together.

This was probably my second favorite movie to be released last year.

agree with both these awards. the racing was some of the best I've seen in a movie in a long time, and idk if it was the theatre I was in or what, but I remember sitting there and being very aware of how impressed by the sound I was.

Going back and watching this and not sure if I just missed it early on at the beginning, but even after the credits at the beginning, we never get an actual Ford v Ferrari title screen. Anyhow just thought that was odd.

Finally saw this and in the end it kinda ended up what I thought it would be..... okay. Damon and bale excellent, cinematography great, but I just didn't really care about the story. About halfway through I realized that I just didnt care. Probably 5/10 for me

Somehow I’m just now realizing that James Mangold directed Identity. He has some great titles under his belt.
