If I was an actor, it sounds like I would really hate working with Jared Leto.

 

Still need to purchase my advance tickets. But the only Thursday show is for IMAX 3D, and I hate watching 3D movies at the theater.

 

Is there any evidence that this kind of method acting actually makes you a better actor or your performance better...?

 

It makes sense from a marketing perspective

 

That's really hard to quantify, but in the end if one tends to go super, super method, they can end up just being an asshole that no one really likes working with. A lot of people have gripes/don't want to deal with Ed Norton, DDL, and Christian Bale (and Jared Leto is a pitiful fraction of any of those guys, IMO).

One of my favorite stories about it is from the filming of Marathon Man. Dustin Hoffman is a method actor, and for a scene where he needed to look tired and haggard, he stayed up for days and really tortured himself. When he explained the process to Laurence Olivier, Olivier responded, "Dear boy, it's called acting. Have you tried it?"

 

Trying not to spoil anything for myself on this one. Don't think anything is going to be too surprising though.

 

Ugh. I love Katana.

 

I can only hope every character gets 30 seconds of exposition as an introduction or I will be hopelessly confused.

 

All of their names sum up their powers.

Deadshot- Shoots things
Killer Croc- see name
Slipknot- Really good at tying knots
Katana- kills things with a katana
Captain Boomerang- Throws a boomerang
El Diablo- fire
Harley Quin- Clown or something

DC isn't that crazy with naming conventions. lol

Just watched the cast on Conan. Mostly great stuff but why is Jared Leto so fucking creepy? He was staring Conan down the entire time

I fully expect the new Thirty Seconds to Mars album to be written from the perspective of the Joker and at least 5 songs about Batman.

Apparently, The Flash has a cameo in this according to a casting list.

 

Anybody got a pre-screening for this this week?

 

I'd love it.

 

Any idea when this will be screened for critics? Rotten Tomatoes doesn't have anything yet.
