i mean dont get me wrong, i love sports, but have been continuously disappointed by the NFL year after year after year after year.

 

Right lmao but not only that (although that’s clearly the biggest) but just the fact of bc of how high pressure it is they force you to play through injuries and get you addicted to pain pills in order to play through those injuries and ahhhh its all so fucked up!!

 

One of the things that annoys me the most is when people are making small talk and they're like "what team do you support?" like not only are they making the assumption that I like sports because I'm male but also assuming I like that same stupid sport that he likes about kicking balls into goals

Soccer is probably my favorite sport lately

but yeah I get how shitty sports can be in general

 

the nba and mlb are much better sports imo. fantasy is the only thing that keeps me interested in football. Redzone keeps it exciting until the playoffs.

 

I really don’t know how we as a culture can reconcile the fun aspect of sports esp team sports with how much damage they do...

like playing sports is so fun and people shouldn’t have to lose that but maybe if there weren’t billion dollar, abusive, problematic industries waiting at the end of it..

 

I don't know why I keep watching hockey. The NHL is such an ass league.

 

I think we already have. I think the billion dollar industry part presupposes any sort of reconciliation. Not to any satisfactory conclusion of course

I never got in to soccer as a kid and now i'm barely a grown ass man I don't have time to learn the rules of a new sport

 

I have such an awful headache because of these knots and all I wanna do is get franked tonight and I know with how I feel right now that would be a badddd idea.
