The average citizen gives us roughly 10,000 reasons to doubt their intentions and abilities every year, and another 20,000 or so reasons why they may have not been in a good enough place mentally/emotionally to own a gun. (not to mention the roughly 100,000 reasons that don't result in death, but rather just injury)

Invariably, someone will bring up the Irish as an example of how white people can be mistreated, too.

It's pretty much the worst thing ever when people do that.

 

The secret service is not an optional service. They are not only protecting a potential American icon, but they are also protecting the classified information that those individuals have knowledge of and access to. Trump and Clinton both have access to that information. So yes, "these people are more important than us" when it comes to the matter of national security.

The reason they have security details is because there have been 4 assassinated presidents and plenty of assassination attempts/plots on several other presidents. So it makes sense that if you don't want to be guarded by armed individuals you find ways of getting rid of the threats that force them to protect you.

As far as the wall though, the real issue is not so much the wall, but more of how the wall is being proposed which is irking plenty of people.

Young radicals, you should utilize the Democratic party if you find it useful in the short term, but you have to understand: the Democrats hate you, and they will always hate you. There is no tangible evidence whatsoever to suggest that’s going to change."

but this is a dumb analogy. You can't actually choose neither -- you're still getting one of them.
